Call for Committee Volunteers

Call for 2018 Committee and Workgroup Members
The BC College of Social Workers is looking for passionate RSWs and RCSWs to volunteer on our Committees. Committees work within the College’s mandate of public protection on a number of different initiatives related to social work regulation. Committee positions are unpaid, however all costs associated with College business are reimbursed, including those for travel and accommodation when required.

The Board is seeking Committee members from a range of social work backgrounds and communities around the province; knowledge of regulation would be a strong asset. If you are interested in a potential appointment to one of the College’s Committees, send a brief letter of interest and an up-to-date resume to info(at)bccsw(.)ca by January 12, 2018. Please include in your letter at least three Committees you would be interested in joining ranked in order of preference.

The College’s Committees looking for members are as follows:

  • Registration
  • Registration Appeals
  • Inquiry
  • Quality Assurance
  • Indigenous Relations (new!)

For the complete list of the College’s Committees, please visit our website.

If you express interest and are not appointed to a committee, please note that you may be invited to participate in one of our various workgroups.
